افتتح قداسة البابا تواضروس الثاني، اليوم السبت، بيت "سان مارك" للمؤتمرات بمنطقة عرابي، بالعبور التابع لإيبارشية شبرا الخيمة، حيث حضر الافتتاح إلى جانب نيافة الأنبا مرقس مطران شبرا الخيمة عدد من أحبار الكنيسة، واللواء عبد الحميد الهجان محافظ القليوبية، وقيادات المحافظة، وقيادات الهيئة الهندسية للقوات المسلحة، والمركز الوطني لتخطيط أراضي الدولة.

ويقع بيت "سان مارك" للمؤتمرات على مساحة ثمانية أفدنة تتضمن مساحات خضراء وزراعية واسعة، ومبنى للخدمات والمؤتمرات ومبنى مقر لقناة "كوچي" الفضائية للأطفال.
