استقبلت الهيئة العامة لدار الكتب والوثائق القومية، برئاسة الأستاذة الدكتورة نيفين محمد موسى، اليوم الثلاثاء، مجموعة من الأطفال والشباب ذوي الهمم من أعضاء الجمعيات الأهلية المعنية برعاية المكفوفين وضعاف البصر. بدأت الزيارة بقاعة المكفوفين بالدور الثالث بمبنى دار الكتب حيث تعرف الزوار على الخدمات التي تقدمها القاعة للمكفوفين من كتب مطبوعة بطريقة برايل، وكتب مسموعة وكتب مسجلة من خلال برنامج ديزي بالتعاون مع جايكا (هيئة التعاون الدولي اليابانية).
توجهت الزيارة بعد ذلك إلى قاعة الموسيقى للتعرف على التراث الموسيقي المرقمن وذلك من خلال الاستماع عبر أجهزة الحاسب الآلى الموجودة بالقاعة حيث تم الاستماع إلى عدد من الأغانى التراثية وأغاني الأطفال. والتقى الدكتور مينا عبد الرؤوف، رئيس الإدارة المركزية لدار الكتب، بالأطفال مرحبا بهم ومؤكدا على الدور الفعال لدار الكتب في تقديم خدمات معرفية متنوعة لذوي الهمم.
وقد تم الاتفاق مع بعض الجمعيات التي تعنى بالمكفوفين بشأن تنظيم زيارات دورية لدار الكتب، بشكل أسبوعي، يتم من خلالها التعرف على الخدمات المتنوعة التي تقدمها الهيئة للمعاقين وذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة.
جدير بالذكر أن قاعات الاطلاع بدار الكتب المصرية تستقبل جميع المواطنين وتقدم خدمات القراءة والاطلاع بشكل مجاني. ويوجد في دار الكتب عدة قاعات متميزة من بينها قاعة الاطلاع الرئيسية وقاعة الاطلاع الرقمي وقاعة الموسيقى وقاعة الفنون.

The General Authority of the National Library and Documentation House, headed by Prof. Nevin Mohamed Moussa, received today, Tuesday, a group of children and youth of determination, members of the NGOs concerned with the care of the blind and visually impaired. The visit began in the auditorium of the blind on the third floor of the Dar al-Kutub building, where visitors were introduced to the services provided by the hall to the blind, including printed Braille books, audio books and recorded books through the Daisy Program in cooperation with JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency).
The visit then headed to the Music Hall to learn about the digitized musical heritage by listening to the computers in the hall, where a number of traditional songs and children's songs were listened to. Dr. Mina Abdel Raouf, Head of the Central Administration of the Book House, met with the children, welcoming them and stressing the effective role of the House of Books in providing various cognitive services for people of determination.
An agreement has been reached with some associations concerned with the blind to organize periodic visits to the House of Books, on a weekly basis, through which the various services provided by the authority to the disabled and those with special needs are acquainted with.
It is worth noting that the reading halls of the Egyptian House of Books receive all citizens and provide free reading and reading services. There are several distinct halls in the Dar al-Kutub, including the main reading hall, the digital reading hall, the music hall and the arts hall.
