RAMALLAH, Monday, June 6, 2022 (WAFA) – Attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinians whether in occupied East Jerusalem or the West Bank were highlighted on the front page of the three Palestinian Arabic dailies published today.
Al-Quds daily said in its main front-page story headline: “Settlers continue in their attacks.”
Al-Hayat al-Jadida daily said in its headline on this topic: “Settlers throw rocks at vehicles in the Jordan Valley, attack Nabi Saleh village and a number of cars for Jerusalemites.”
The third daily, al-Ayyam, wrote: “500 settlers storm Al-Aqsa Mosque.”
Al-Quds added on this topic that the Israeli occupation forces closed the gates to al-Aqsa as settlers desecrated the Muslim holy place.
Al-Hayat al-Jadida touched on the situation of the two Palestinian hunger strikers, one for over three months and the other for over two months, who are demanding their freedom from administrative detention in Israel. It said the Israel Prison Services refuses to move them to hospital despite the deterioration in their health.
It also said, sarcastically, in another headline: “A shirt for a 3-year-old child threatens the security of Israel.” The paper was referring to the story of Israeli soldiers forcing the Palestinian child at a checkpoint near Jenin city to take off his shirt because it had a gun printed on it and therefore he went home shirtless.
Al-Ayyam said on this topic: “When the occupation fears the shirt of a child,” and had a picture of the child without his shirt after returning home.
It said in another story that the Administrative Court in Ramallah postponed a hearing into a petition to force the end of the strike of the engineers.
It said Palestinians in Hebron demonstrated against the rise in prices.
It also quoted the United Nations saying that a 12-unit building in Silwan is under threat of demolition.
Al-Quds quoted the same report saying the UN is warning against a rise in the Israeli demolition of Palestinian homes.
Al-Hayat al-Jadida said the PLO rejects attempts to change the mandate of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).
It also quoted Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh saying on the 55th anniversary of the Israeli occupation of the West Bank, Jerusalem, and Gaza that “our people are more resilient and holding on to their lands.”
Prime Minister says Israeli occupation would not have lasted this long if it wasn’t for the international silence
RAMALLAH, Monday, June 6, 2022 (WAFA) - Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh today stressed that the Israeli occupation of the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip would not have lasted all this time if the international community did not stay silent and held Israel accountable for its violations and crimes against the Palestinian people and lands.
"This occupation would not have continued if it had been held accountable for its violations and if there was an international will to end it,” said Shtayyeh at the start of the weekly cabinet meeting held in Ramallah. “We have paid dearly from our blood, our land, our present and our future for this silence, this tolerance and this impunity.”
Palestinians marked yesterday the 55th anniversary of the Israeli occupation of East Jerusalem, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip after Israel launched its war on its Arab neighbors on June 5, 1967.
The Prime Minister called on the international community to end its double standard policy when it comes to Palestine and take the necessary measures and steps to stop and punish the occupying power for its violations, crimes and flagrant violations of international law and force it to end its occupation of the land of the State of Palestine.

رام الله في 6 حزيران / يونيو 2022 (وفا) - تم تسليط الضوء على هجمات المستوطنين الإسرائيليين ضد الفلسطينيين سواء في القدس الشرقية المحتلة أو الضفة الغربية على الصفحة الأولى من ثلاث صحف فلسطينية يومية عربية تصدر اليوم.
وقالت صحيفة القدس في عنوان الخبر الرئيسي على صفحتها الأولى: "المستوطنون يواصلون هجماتهم".
وقالت صحيفة الحياة الجديدة في عنوانها في هذا الموضوع: "مستوطنون يرشقون سيارات في الأغوار بالحجارة ويهاجمون قرية النبي صالح وعدد من سيارات المقدسيين".
وكتبت صحيفة "الأيام" الثالثة: "500 مستوطن يقتحمون المسجد الأقصى".
وأضافت القدس في هذا الموضوع أن قوات الاحتلال أغلقت أبواب المسجد الأقصى بسبب قيام المستوطنين بتدنيس المقدسات الإسلامية.
وتناولت "الحياة الجديدة" أوضاع الفلسطينيين المضربين عن الطعام ، أحدهما لأكثر من ثلاثة أشهر والآخر لأكثر من شهرين ، يطالبان بتحريرهما من الاعتقال الإداري في إسرائيل. وقالت إن مصلحة السجون ترفض نقلهم إلى المستشفى على الرغم من تدهور حالتهم الصحية.
كما جاء في عنوان آخر ساخرًا: "قميص طفل يبلغ من العمر 3 سنوات يهدد أمن إسرائيل". وكانت الصحيفة تشير إلى قصة قيام جنود إسرائيليين بإجبار الطفل الفلسطيني عند حاجز بالقرب من مدينة جنين على خلع قميصه لأنه كان عليه مسدس ، وبالتالي عاد إلى منزله بلا قميص.
وقالت "الأيام" في هذا الموضوع: "لما يخاف الاحتلال من قميص طفل" ، وكانت لها صورة للطفل بدون قميصه بعد عودته إلى المنزل.
وأضافت في رواية أخرى أن المحكمة الإدارية في رام الله أجلت جلسة استماع في التماس لإنهاء إضراب المهندسين.
وقالت إن الفلسطينيين في الخليل تظاهروا ضد ارتفاع الأسعار.
كما نقلت عن الأمم المتحدة قولها إن 12 وحدة بناية في سلوان مهددة بالهدم.
ونقلت القدس عن نفس التقرير قوله إن الأمم المتحدة تحذر من تصعيد إسرائيل لهدم منازل الفلسطينيين.
وقالت "الحياة الجديدة" إن منظمة التحرير ترفض محاولات تغيير تفويض وكالة الأمم المتحدة لإغاثة وتشغيل لاجئي فلسطين (الأونروا).
كما نقلت عن رئيس الوزراء محمد اشتية قوله في الذكرى الخامسة والخمسين للاحتلال الإسرائيلي للضفة الغربية والقدس وغزة إن "شعبنا أكثر صموداً وتمسكاً بأرضه".

رام الله الاثنين 6 حزيران 2022 (وفا) - أكد رئيس الوزراء محمد اشتية اليوم أن الاحتلال الإسرائيلي للضفة الغربية بما فيها القدس الشرقية وقطاع غزة ما كان ليصمد طوال هذا الوقت لولا التزام المجتمع الدولي بالصمت. ومحاسبة إسرائيل على انتهاكاتها وجرائمها بحق الشعب والأراضي الفلسطينية.
وقال اشتية في مستهل جلسة مجلس الوزراء الأسبوعية المنعقدة في رام الله ، "ما كان هذا الاحتلال ليستمر لو تم محاسبته على انتهاكاته ولو كانت هناك إرادة دولية لإنهائه. لقد دفعنا الثمن غاليا من دمائنا". وأرضنا وحاضرنا ومستقبلنا من أجل هذا الصمت وهذا التسامح وهذا الإفلات من العقاب ".
أحيا الفلسطينيون ، أمس ، الذكرى الخامسة والخمسين للاحتلال الإسرائيلي للقدس الشرقية والضفة الغربية وقطاع غزة بعد أن شنت إسرائيل حربها على جيرانها العرب في 5 يونيو 1967.
ودعا رئيس مجلس الوزراء المجتمع الدولي إلى إنهاء سياسة الكيل بمكيالين عندما يتعلق الأمر بفلسطين واتخاذ الإجراءات والخطوات اللازمة لوقف ومعاقبة دولة الاحتلال على انتهاكاتها وجرائمها وانتهاكاتها الصارخة للقانون الدولي وإجبارها على وضع حد لها. احتلال أرض دولة فلسطين.
