استقبل السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي اليوم الفريق الركن حمد محمد ثاني الرميثي، رئيس أركان القوات المسلحة الإماراتية، وذلك بحضور الفريق أول محمد زكي وزير الدفاع والإنتاج الحربي، إلى جانب السفيرة مريم الكعبي سفيرة دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة بالقاهرة.
وصرح المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية بأن السيد الرئيس طلب نقل تحياته إلى شقيقه سمو الشيخ محمد بن زايد آل نهيان، رئيس دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، مؤكداً سيادته على العلاقات المصيرية بين مصر والإمارات، وما تمثله من ركيزة لاستقرار منطقة الشرق الأوسط والعالم العربي بأسره.
من جانبه؛ أعرب رئيس أركان القوات المسلحة الإماراتية عن تشرفه بلقاء السيد الرئيس، ناقلاً إلى سيادته تحيات وتقدير شقيقه سمو الشيخ محمد بن زايد، ومؤكداً عمق العلاقات التاريخية التي تجمع بين البلدين والشعبين الشقيقين، وحرص الإمارات على تعزيز أطر التعاون الاستراتيجي بين البلدين على مختلف الأصعدة، خاصةً ما يتعلق بتبادل الخبرات في المجال العسكري، إلى جانب مواصلة مسيرة العمل المشترك والتنسيق المكثف مع مصر إزاء مختلف القضايا الإقليمية والدولية.
وقد تم التوافق خلال اللقاء على استمرار تعزيز التنسيق والتشاور المنتظم بين مصر والإمارات فيما يتعلق بالتعاون العسكري والأمني، وذلك بالتكامل والتناغم مع مسيرة العلاقات الثنائية المتشعبة بين البلدين في كافة المجالات والأصعدة، على النحو الذي فيه صالح البلدين والشعبين الشقيقين، وبما يدعم كذلك أواصر التضامن العربي.

It was agreed during the meeting to continue strengthening coordination and regular consultation between Egypt and the UAE with regard to military and security cooperation, in complementarity and harmony with the complex bilateral relations between the two countries in all fields and levels, in a way that is in the interest of the two brotherly countries and peoples, and in a manner that also supports the bonds of Arab solidarity. .
